September 2011//
Yowzers it's been a long time since I updated this website. Where to start?
Erica and I are STILL working on the Geyser for Hillcrest Park. It's a doozy (do people still say that sort of thing??). We're hoping that it will be completed for Summer 2012-- but still waiting for the appropriate approvals from the City and so forth. More news soon...
AND: Norma is getting a Mayor's Arts Award! Thanks to Barbara Cole for putting us forward. We are... honoured and stoked.
In other news, I'm working on a couple of projects right now:
Thanks to the lovely people at the Canada Council, I'll be doing a project called Sad Sack, a melancholic moveable event space. It'll be operational during the saddest months of the year here on the West Coast (which seem to be rapidly approaching, judging from the rain and wind happening outside right now. Oh wait, now it's sunny.). I'm currently doing some research, thinking a lot (current question: what kind of house booze should I brew?) and starting to ask people to collaborate.
Also I'll be curating Spatial Poetics 2012, an annual evening of performance and interdisciplinary collaborations, for the always amazing Powell Street Festival. Just in pre-planning now...
And lastly, I'm helping out Other Sights with a Speakers Series for the Langara College for Art in Public Spaces. It'll be a good one-- Claire Doherty, director of Situations in the UK, is going be here, so you know it will be some quality discussion...

November 2010//
Holy smokes, Erica Stocking and I are still working on our Hillcrest Public Art Commission. We'll be launching the piece in Spring 2011, we hope! More news soon...

July 2010//
The City of Vancouver is opening up Granville Street this summer as a pedestrian walkway, and putting a bunch of public art out. I'll be at Granville and Georgia for select Fridays, sitting in the kiosk from VVV, selling you fizzy drinks, snacks and transit tickets for a dollar. Check out the daily specials!
Here's a nice little blurb about the kiosk by Aaron Peck, from Akimblog.
